I'm just starting to read manga (again). One Piece isn't marked as a reread on this list, but it is; I read the first forty volumes in 2006, but am rereading them now, uh, because Oda is the best storyteller in the world. On his bad days he's good, which means on his awesome days you might lose an eye from his shiny exterior.

Here is a handy guide to what's what:

  1. The Book of Job, Bible
  2. One Piece 1, Eiichiro Oda
  3. One Piece 2 - Eiichiro Oda
  4. One Piece 3, Eiichiro Oda
  5. One Piece 4, Eiichiro Oda
  6. One Piece 5, Eiichiro Oda
  7. One Piece 6, Eiichiro Oda
  8. One Piece 7, Eiichiro Oda
  9. One Piece 8, Eiichiro Oda
  10. One Piece 9, Eiichiro Oda
  11. One Piece 10, Eiichiro Oda
  12. One Piece 11, Eiichiro Oda
  13. One Piece 12, Eiichiro Oda
  14. One Piece 13, Eiichiro Oda
  15. Runaways 1, Brian Vaughan
  16. Runaways 2, Brian Vaughan
  17. Fables: Legends in Exile (1), Bill Willingham
  18. American Born Chinese, Gene Luen Yang
